TradeForge Privacy Policy

TradeForge ("we", "us") is an all-in-one tool for trade contractors — takeoff and bid estimating, crew time, field forms, and service dispatch — available at tradeforgeui.com and as a mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it, in plain English.

What we collect

• Account information. Your email address and name when you create an account or are invited to a team.
• Project data you upload. Drawings, PDFs, DXF/DWG files, takeoffs, price books, material lists, and job names you save. This is your business data — we store it so you and your team can use it.
• Team and labor data. If your company uses the Labor feature: worker names, trades, job assignments, and hours entered by your team. Pay rates are visible only to your team's labor admins.
• Field forms and safety records. If your company uses them: JSAs / pre-task safety cards, extra work tickets, and pressure testing reports your team fills out, including the job names, crew names, readings, and remarks entered on them. These are your company's records; we store them so your team can keep and retrieve them.
• Signatures. Some forms can be signed on screen (for example a supervisor signing off an extra work ticket, or crew members signing a JSA). The signature image is stored as part of that form's record.
• Photos. Photos your team chooses to attach to service tickets or testing reports (for example gauge readings or completed work). They are stored with the record they were attached to and shared with your team.
• Service records. If your company uses Service dispatch: customer names, sites, contact details, equipment/unit lists, visit history, and service tickets written by your techs.
• Location (optional). If a technician allows location access on their device, the app records a one-time location stamp when they tap a job status (en route / on site / done) or attach a photo. This is a single point at that moment — the app does not track location in the background or when it is closed. Location can be denied in the device settings at any time and the app works fine without it. Employers using TradeForge are responsible for telling their crews about this and for complying with any employee-notice laws that apply to them.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Feedback you choose to send. Feedback submitted in the app, and the optional survey if you cancel a subscription.

How we use it

• To provide the product: storing your projects, sharing them with your team, computing takeoffs and bids, and generating payroll sheets.
• Some features send text you provide (like spec book excerpts) to an AI service (Anthropic) to generate summaries or material lists. This text is used to produce your result, not for advertising.
• To send transactional email — team invitations, account messages, and copies of forms your team chooses to email (tickets, testing reports, JSAs) — through our email provider (Resend).

Sharing forms by link

Your team can generate a view link for a ticket, testing report, or JSA to send to a customer or GC. Anyone who has that link can view that form, including its signatures and photos, without a TradeForge account — that is the point of the feature, so share those links the way you'd share the paper copy. Deleting the form disables its link.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't show ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't use your drawings or bids to train AI models.

Where it lives

TradeForge runs on Netlify's cloud infrastructure. Your saved projects and team data are stored there, scoped to your team. Your login session and preferences are kept in your browser's local storage.

Your choices

• You can delete saved projects at any time inside the app.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings.
